What is Petabolics Hemp Oil?
Petabolics Hemp oil is 100% natural hemp oil (human food- grade), made by using the best quality seeds (from the Cannabis sativa L. plant ) and carefully extracting the oil by gently cold pressing the seeds. It is not chemically treated or refined in anyway. Our Hemp oil conforms to stringent requirements for heavy metals and pesticides in accordance with the EU & UK regulations. The oil extracted from hemp seeds is particularly rich in the polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), including essential fatty acids like omega-6 (linoleic acid) and omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid), in a ratio that is considered beneficial for health. Hemp oil contains a perfect balance of omega 6 to omega 3 in a 3:1 ratio.
Who is Petabolics Hemp Oil 100% natural for?
Petabolics Hemp Oil 100% specifically formulated as a calming supplement for dogs and cats but it is suitable for use in all animal species.
Why use Petabolics Hemp Oil 100% natural?
Hemp oil can promote a sense of calmness in animals and reduce restlessness. Hemp oil, is particularly beneficial in assisting with overall health issues that can cause your animal discomfort such as joint pain, digestive problems and skin issues, often resulting in a calmer, happier animal. The health benefits of hemp oil stem from its ideal blend of essential fatty acids. It boasts omega-3 fatty acids, which play a role in managing inflammation, maintaing good skin and supporting overall health. Omega-3 fatty acids, such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), have been shown to shift the arachidonic acid (AA) cascade towards the production of less inflammatory mediators, thereby reducing inflammation in the skin. The arachidonic acid (AA) cascade refers to a series of biochemical reactions involving arachidonic acid, a type of omega-6 fatty acid found in cell membranes. When the body undergoes inflammation, arachidonic acid is metabolized into various inflammatory mediators, which contribute to the inflammatory process. Omega-3 fatty acids, such as EPA and DHA, can modify this cascade by influencing the production of these inflammatory mediators. Specifically, they promote the production of less inflammatory substances, shifting the balance away from the production of pro-inflammatory molecules. As a result, omega-3 fatty acids help to dampen the inflammatory response, leading to a reduction in inflammation, particularly in the skin, as highlighted in the study “Impact of Nutritional Supplementation on Canine Dermatological Disorders”. While animals can synthesise some fatty acids, they lack the enzymes necessary to produce certain essential fatty acids, such as alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid, and linoleic acid (LA), an omega-6 fatty acid, from scratch. Instead, they rely on obtaining these essential fatty acids directly from their diet. Hemp oil offers a great plant-based alternative to fish oil.
