Originally considered to be a subspecies of L Casei more recent genetic research has shown it to be a separate species. L rhamnosis multiplies fast and can survive the acid and bile of the small intestine and not only colonises and adheres to the small intestine but can also inhabit the large intestine. It can adhere to mucus membranes and outnumber the bacteria involved in vaginal and urinary tract infections.
Particularly suitable for infants and the elderly and to replace those “good” bacteria after taking antibiotics. This product is dairy free, cultured on a dairy free medium and does not contain any artificial flavours, colours, preservatives, FOS or gluten-containing ingredients
This product is best kept refrigerated to sustain the active bacteria.
This product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
