We also include beta-carotene as opposed to Vitamin A to ensure a safe delivery of Vitamin A dose. Vitamin A as Vitamin A (as opposed to beta-carotene) can accumulate in the liver leading to toxicity. Metabolics is unique in including Astaxanthin as part of a multivitamin/mineral supplement as it has such important antioxidant qualities. It is incredibly powerful, being up to 500 times more powerful than Vitamin E and at least 1000 times stronger than Vitamin C. Astaxanthin is also very beneficial as it has the ability to stabilise Vitamin E.
