It contributes to male health through its role in maintaining the mobility and structural integrity of sperm cells.
The symptoms of selenium deficiency imply that selenium has an additional role in sustaining healthy hair and nails.
An adequate intake of selenium should be readily available in a healthy balanced diet.
Each capsule provides about 200mcg of selenium. This is well in excess of reference daily intake, and about half the recommended upper limit of daily intake.
We recommend that you do not exceed two capsules per day, unless on the specific advice of a medical practitioner. Excessive consumption of selenium may lead to one or more of hypersalivation, unpleasant breath, vomiting or diarrhoea, hair loss, tiredness or neurological disruption.
