Borage (Starflower) Oil

Borage Oil is extracted from the seeds of the star shaped, blue borage flower.

Borage oil contains 20% GLA, the highest percentage of GLA of any plant source. It is an alternative source of GLA to blackcurrant seed or evening primrose seed oils.

GLA is converted into DGLA, a substance that fights inflammation. GLA is essential for the production of hormone like substances called prostaglandins; particularly E1 (PGE1). Benefits of GLA are a result of the regulatory action of the prostaglandins.

1000mg contains approximately 200mg of GLA.
